Hi Everyone,
In the past week since becoming a member on the WeldingWeb forums I have been able to get as well as exchange a wealth of information that would have otherwise taken me weeks or months to obtain.

I couldn’t help but notice that compared to most posts mine are a bit lengthy and it is possible this may annoy some members or moderators. For that reason I have made it a point to allow Private Messages as well as provide my e-mail address in my profile as well as in my signature line. By doing this it is my hope that it will in some way help reduce unwanted and possibly off-topic content.

I realize that there are a lot of you out there that don’t wish to release certain information for reasons of privacy and other concerns. This is not a problem for me. I feel the risk is outweighed by the benefit. So, if anyone out there wishes to use these methods of contact, feel free to do so.

I’m posting this on the two forums I frequent the most and I hope the moderators will understand my reasoning and allow it to stand. Thank You…

I live up the road from you about an hour or so, but I don't understand your statement very well. It may because it's 1:40 in the morning.

He's saying that he enabled his PM's and e-mail so people from this forum can contact him...if they wish.

Just a statement, not a question or a point.

It's not always such a good idea to post email addresses in your signature, though. Spammers and spybot's love to troll message boards looking for them.

Yep, we mentioned it to him before and he says that is his work e-mail so it filters alot of that stuff out. He's aware...that's all we can do. :)
