Power cord for AC225-S?

My Lincoln needs a new power cord. I have a 10 ga cord for a dryer available. Can I use that or do I need a special cord made specifically for the welder?

That'll work great. Of course I assume your receptacle aa well as the wiring and circuit breaker or fusing are all rated at 30 amps. I'd say you are probably OK if the dryer cord fits the receptacle you have. Some of the older Lincolns had a different plug configuration than the dryer cords did. Just be sure to get the wires hook up right.

Most of these 50A welders come factory equipped with a #10 input power cord. You can plug it into a 50A circuit just fine with its #10 power cord. But it would be best to get a NEMA 6-50P plug for the end of the cord and use a welder receptacle.
