Is there such a thing as a good 100 dollar auto darkening helmet? That's about the extend of my budget and this fixed #10 shade is killing me. I'd like to get a good one. Are those 100 buck lincolns any good?

Dont know about the Lincolns, but see Miller's hoods going around $100 quite a bit. Would be worth every $, but would look for Optrel or 3m.

Good for mig, not tig. I tried them, and you get no arc supression when you use any lower amperage in DC. And, even a problemin AC on aluminum. So I would say the Lincoln and the miller are decent, especially for the price. But they are only good for stick and mig.
