Bumper

I was rear ended and it folded up the factory step bumper. Instead of waiting for the insurance company, I built my own. My father taught me this a long time ago.

Bumper was wire wheeled and brushed on 2 coats of napa's best primer 3 months ago.

Hey you did a great job on the bumper. I imagine the rear bumper on my old ford PU is about the same as the original was on your rig there. Mostly tacks with silicon beads :) .

That looks good, I was working on a bumper myself this weekend. How did you get the bends on the ends?

I cut noches in the flanges and heat it with a rosebud. A big crescent wrench helps. It also helps if you start in the center of a 10' piece. 2 bumpers from a length.

looks factory but heavier, I designed one last night for a guy here at work. Can't wait to start on it.
