Local guy has an Esab multimig 300i for sale. Won't gimme a range he'd like to get out of it. He says they sold for 3 grand ten yrs ago. Don't know what to offer. Haven't seen it in person yet, but would like to try tig. He says its air cooled torch. Anyone run one of these? Got any good or bad points I should know about? I wasn't "looking" just happened across the thing. I figured I run it past you guys before I put too much thought into it. Any words of wisdom?

Hell, see if he'll take 500 bucks for it to haul it off for him. Is it single phase 220? or is it 3 phase only?

I owned one but never used it. I traded my Migmaster 250 for one, only because I was selling my migmaster and a friend wanted the 250 instead. He just wanted something easier to set up. The tapped migmaster is way easier to turn on and just weld. The 300i is a real inverter in the 250 case. If you could get it for around $1,000.00 it would probably be worth having. I think i got about $1100.00 out of mine. (L-tec model) The Esab Migmaster 300i is the same machine.
