View Full Version : Who made the Sears Welders in the 70's?

I realised that I had posted questions and a picture of my machine from Sears, but does anyone know who made them for Sears?
Would it be a miller or a Hobart?
Would be neat to know.

I think Century makes them now, not sure if they still made them back then. Give Sears a call and ask. It looks like it was kept in good condition. List some specifications on the one you show.

I was on a forum (don't remember which one) about power tools, I think. Somebody there had a list that cross referenced the sears model number (I think it was the numbers before the decimal) to a list of manufacturers. I'll see if I can dig it up.
Mine was made in 1998, by Century.

I found it. Go to:
If the model number starts with 934.xxxxx it is Century.
