Today I saw a Dayton 225 amp mig welder for sale, but I cant find any information about it. The guy is selling it for $700, and it looks like it is in fair shape for its age. Is that a good price for it? Also does any one know where I can find any information about that welder (part number 5Z136A)?

Thanks

At one time I believe Grainger sold Dayton mig welders. They were made by Dayton electric, who has usually made quality products over the years. I personally wouldn't be scared of it. Especially if it has been taken care of and the price is right.
