I was emailed yesterday from another person who has the Chicago Electric Dual Mig Welder 131. He advised the spring in his gas diffuser got broke. I purchased my welded off of E-bay and mine desn't have a spring in the gas diffuser. Can anyone tell me if their's has one, so I know if mine is missing or if I am not suppose to have one! Thanks

Harbor freight has online manuals for all the Chicago welders they sell. These are .PDF (Adobe Acrobat) files about 2 meg and can be saved. Look on the sale page for your specific welder-then look for "download shop manual" on that page. Those manuals have blowups of the welder parts.

Thanks, but the manual just shows the gun, and the individaul parts for the gun. So I am not sure if there is suppose to be one or not?

Hey Zobman. Whitey here. Let me see if I can return some help. The nozzle that you have determines whether it has the spring underneath. If it is a slip on nozzle, just pulls off and pushes on, then it will have the spring underneath. If it is a screw on nozzle, then it would not have the spring. Hope this helps buddy.

Harbor freight carries a dual mig welder 151 and dual mig welder 131 - Just wondering why you opted for the 131. Is it just because of the 115v input?

Nope! it's because I bid on it on E-bay and won! For what I paid, I couldn't resist! And well, it's a lot easier with 110V per 220V. But I am a electrician so I could put in a 220v outlet. But for what I plan on doing with it, 110v should be fine!
