*Plumbers & Steamfitter
*Carpenters
*welding society
*welders & fabricators

Now is the perfect time to get into one of those local unions.

Well The problem is i didnt graduate highschool, i was supposed to go and get my GED soon

My Grandfather Personally Knows the President of the New jersey local 68-68a-68b Operating engineers and i was suppose to get in touch with him to start training

but i guess i cant since i dont have a highschool diploma

Good luck with that. I'll help you study if you want. Beginner is spelled with one G. Just messing with ya man! :p

Anyways, hit up the local shops. A lot of small shops will hire guys if they can weld and have a head on their shoulders. They may start you off dirt cheap, but you will learn a lot, get some years in the field and if they don't pay you what you want after a couple years, you will have enough experience to find another job with good pay.

I would definatly at least get your GED in the works. Also, as said above, if you can prove you can weld and do the work, you may find someone locally that needs an assistant around the shop. Example: my father-in-law started out in NJ 31 years ago in the oil refinerys as a cylander roller. Now he is an Exotic metals/Xray welding specialist for a world wide company.
