We have deleted a thread, titled Welding Assistant, in the off topic area. A couple of members raised objection to the content of the photos, which were of a suggestively dressed woman in various states of embrace with shop equipment.
I want to make it clear that the thread was deleted due to concerns over copyright. I do not believe any violation was intended, but the person who posted these photos did not own the right to post them. Links to photos -- merely pointing people to a site where photos are posted -- is acceptable. But copying photos from another site and posting them here is almost never allowed under intellectual property laws except with written permission from the company or person who owns the right to the photos' use.
That's why we felt a need to delete the thread.
The question of taste is one that we're going to duck entirely.
