Spam, unfortunately, is a fact of life in this and any other successful forum. We work hard to eliminate Spam as fast as it arrives; in most cases, we eliminate irrelevant messages within minutes of their posting. In some cases, the messages remain online for several hours before we delete them.
But a point has been raised that makes a lot of sense: By replying to Spam messages, you are in effect making them more visible to everyone else. Everytime someone replies to a Spam message, it gets raised to the top of the New Post queue, thus helping the Spammers fulfill their mission.
Please help WeldingWeb remain as Spam free as possible by ignoring the messages altogether. Our moderators and administrators will delete them as fast as we find them. And if you find a Spam message that has been around for longer than an hour or so, don't hesitate to report it to your favorite moderator so we can get rid of it.
Thanks for your cooperation.
