I want to make clear up front that I did not make the frog; he belongs to my daughter & I didn't ask where she got him but the original welds make me look like a pro by comparison - really really shoddy. So she asked me to patch it up. I thought maybe some of you guys who are always looking for projects might like to see him.
He is made from 1/4inch rod & is about 3 ft long, x 20i nches tall, just eyeballing. One hind leg had fallen off, his right frong foot was coming apart & there were about 10 other tack welds that had to be redone.
Here he is arriving for surgery:

So I ground off some rust where needed and patched him up (that's a 1 gallon plastic bucket in his pot plant holder, to give a sense of scale) :

Actually, it's a fairly impressive piece of wire bending and wire frame perspective.
How do you know it's a he, cutter?

The guy may not have been able to weld well, but he sure can bend metal well. I like it Cutter, thanks for posting the pics.

Your're most welcome. I think he's a handsome devil sitting out in the grass with a potful of flowers. The welds look like they used a 70amp Sears & stuck it together just enough to get him out the door. As to the bending, yeah that takes some doing. I sure don't want to try to duplicate it but I thought some of you might, or at least might get an idea for something similar.

I was in Sam's club the other day and had the same kind thing - only it was a cat and dog. pretty neat actually. I may try to make one for my wife. The material cost would probably be more than the $25 price but what the heck it'd make her happy and I can always use the points!:D
