Just wondering if anyone has used biodiesel or other alternative fuels for welding.
Your thoughts?

How's the cost in comparison to petro based diesel? Any problems?
My fiance and I are looking to eventually build a house, and we are looking into solar, wind and alternative fuels for supplimental, and eventually main power. We want to move to a more rural setting, and do most of the construction ourselves. Of course, my first thought is "Miller diesel generator!" - running off biodiesel. This would help in the construction, and add a backup source after the construction is done.
So I am researching any possible pitfalls.
And no, I'm not a dirty hippy.
