I have a 17.5hp Scotts/JD mower, front engine. It has the flimsy thin metal lip with a hole punched in it. This piece has bent after towing my aerator and trying to pull a trailer.
I want to fab something up for the back. Anyone have any pictures or ideas? I want something sturdy and a little higher from the ground.
I need some ideas guys.
Thanks

what about tracing the existing stamped out one with heavier stock and bolting it on ? or you could just go nuts and go the OVERKILLED WAY ?

my mower had the same kind of deal. I fabbed up a piece that bolted to the frame that had some beef to it, problem solved. let me see if I can find the pic, if not I'll take another one.

at the time all I had was a short piece of stock that was thick enough so I made do with it. I need the hole offset because of how big a trailer I was pulling with my little mower. I still haven't cut that off and replaced it yet with one that has a hole in the center and offset to the side.
