Couldn't stand how these jack stands were sitting into the car jack points so I needed something w/ more of a flat surface than a lipped surface for this particular vehicle. So, I boxed in the jack stand end and TIG'd it up.

Not amazing welds and I didn't clean up the metal before welding - not going to win any awards, I just needed to get this car off the ground so I can drop the rear out.

I have some HD rubber that i cut to fit between the lips. Non scratch and flat.

Hey, i also heard those Sumitomo tyres will not be available for much longer. Plant shut down.

Perhaps cut some tire tread (found on side of highways) for anti scratch of paint on the car. Perhaps glue it on? Good idea though.

I just throw a rag over the top of jacks, jack stands, or the lift arms to protect paint.
