Supid question...Cheb 454 exhaust donut

Which direction does the 2 part exhaust donut go on a Chebby 454? I dropped it when I pulled the manifold out (i was working from inside an old motorhome) and didn't see which way it came out. Thanks everyone :blush:

But I just put a brandy new exhaust manifold on Mrs zaps Falcon with a 1 part doughnut gasket 2 weeks ago...

One piece or two, the smaller end goes in the manifold. The rounded end faces the pipe.

Ok yeah, it is the two piece...one piece that is like someone cut the end off a soup can, and then the rounded part like in that picture. The soup can part slips into the flat side of the rounded part.
