Chemetron MIG

I was looking at this welder. It is located approximately 2 miles from my home. Does anyone have any knowledge that they could share regarding Chemetron MIG /ARC machines? Are parts available?

They used to make good equipment but now I don't know if parts are still available. Is anything wrong with the machine, now. John

I talked to the seller. He tells me that there is a roller that is broken on the wire feeder. I have a friend that is an instructor at a "very high tech" vocational school that can make anything that I may need. I'll be looking at the welder on Sunday. In it's present condition, keeping in mind the shortage of parts available, I may offer him $100.00.

That is a good price, you can always go back up on the price and remember another feeder is not that expensive. A Profax is a very good feeder. Your local WSH should be able to get you one and connect it. John
