Trailer manufacturer's defect.

We did a boat trailer at some point during this last roll of film, :p and I was just tickled pink trying to get this socket/head assembly out of the tongue for replacement. The customer had a bad crack welded up temporary and we got it for replacement purposes.

It seemed easier for the builders to weld the 2 main frame members over two 5/8" retaining pins.
Eh, whatsamatta you? OK, measure 5 times and drill. Lookadat!!

Last little hang nail was this gnarly burr in the opening.

FINALLY CLEAR. Added a couple of nicely fitted spindle caps and WALLA! Good to go.

Any chance that was a trailer for a Yamaha jetboat, manufactured by MFI? They've had a LOT of touble with them, primarily with the bow stop not being securely installed.
