Powcon 250 TIG troubleshooting

I've been asked to troubleshoot a tig welder that's not working. Are there any manuals and parts available for a Powcon 250 anywhere? I believe its a bad water cooling switch (I found it and it doesn't work) but I jumpered it and there is no effect. The water cooling light still doesn't come on. Is it not a pressure switch ( Suco is the manufacturer)?

The welder's Power electronic are fine as the arc welder works. The foot pedal's potentiometers looks good. The wires to the unit and from the unit are good.

i'm not exactly sure were to track down a powcon manual, i would believe that parts like switches could be replaced with an aftermarket part though.

grundseth: If you have power to the switch and you jumper it and it still makes no diff. then I would think the switch is probably ok. You should check further down the line and find out where your power is interupted or stopped. Unless no power goes thru the switch would I think that it's bad. revpol

I called Earl Beck which owns Kimby(sp?) who made the powcon 250 ac/dc. The tech there was very helpful. He figured out that is was a bad power line (the power&water line). It was a new line but the coolant is very old and probably lost its anti corrision properties. I had ohmed the line out but did not drain the coolant from the line. After I got the coolant out, the resistance went up to 25kohm.
