Hello,
I'm from Alberta Canada, and have arc welded in years past. Lots of farm welding for a friend. If he broke it, I'd fix it, then he'd test it to see if it would hold. If he couldn't break it within 30 feet or 30 seconds. Then the job was a success. If anyone could break it in less than 30 seconds, it was sure to be him. I also worked in some Fab shops in the early 80's, but when Oil field business died out....... Last one hired is the first one fired......
Do to job changes, I ended up getting away from welding, and more into Carpentry work, I now have a well outfitted hobby woodworking shop. I have since moved to a small acreage, and now realize that I need to get back into welding again. Since sawdust and sparks don't really get along, I did not invest in any welding equipment, So now the goal is to set myself up with some cutting and welding equipment. I have the room and a place to set up a small welding shop. Far away from the woodworking shop. :p
