i returned the harbor frt machine, and am solicting suggestions for what to buy.

i'm a hobby welder, little experience, all with a large shop stick welder.

plan to build a car ramp from mild steel square tubing and pipe.

would like a machine that is versital for future projects,

i have 220 volts, 20 amp service in garage.

visited local welding supply store, Lincoln AC 225 was recommended by them, a large red box. comments?

do i want a MIG or stick?

thanks.

http://www.hobartwelders.com/mboard/ I reccomend this board on occasion over there,, so fair is fair. There are a lot of posts there in the "products forum" about first machines.

Get a Hobart 180 or Miller 210.
