i nought one of these last weekend. its a 125 amp 110 volt gasless mig welder. i think it may be a hobart knock off. anyway its a pretty cool little welder. much better than the harbor freight crappy mig welders. just curious if anyone had heard of it.

The duty cycle is the deal killer, even for a cheapo wire feed. Doesn't really matter where it's made or how nice it is if you can only weld for 1/2 minute at 120 amps....

No matter who makes the 115 volt welder 99% only have a 20% duty cycle limit at full power.
One reason is, at 90 amps most 115 volt 20 amp circuit breakers will trip at around 2 minutes. I think the were a few 30% machine but they only had a 60 amp output.

Right, I think most welders in general, except engine driven welders, have a duty cycle around 20%-30% at full power. But this little guy has a 20% duty cylce at it's LOWEST power setting.
