My buddy who has a mowing company has half of one of these things. He just has the bottom half up to the middle hinge. Anyone know of a place that would sell that style hinge, I wanna complete the one he has for my mower. I know it wouldent be hard to make one, but I want it to be greasable.

would they use any kind of seal or gasket at the bottom to prevent grease from escaping?

Got an old bike laying around? use the neck portion of it and do like stingers said, then you got all the parts you need, and it will have bearings in it joint.

good luck

Wow $225 :( :( If you want a heavy duty one go to the local farm supply place or Northern Tools and buy a trailer spindle, bearings and hub and make one.

The way I used to run my gravely bush hog I'd break one made from the neck portion of a bike it wouldn't last 10 minutes.:D

the bike frame and trailer spindle both seem to be good ideas. It looks like the trailer spindles are all around 8 inchs long, it needs to be more like 3.
