I started building my garage/shop back in July 2003. Its 30'x30'garage, then i decided while i was at it might as well add an 18'x18' shop area. Now then take in mind only tools used in building this thing was a bobcat225, 41/2 angle grinder, cordless drill, cuttin torch, and a ladder, 1 son, and a lot of sweat and a tiny bit of blood.

Great & glad to help. Paint Shop seems to be big on .gif's. I feel pretty sure though that it wouldn't hurt Chuck's feelings any if the file size was still a little bit smaller - not the physical size so much, but the size in kb's. Servers can hold lotsa stuff, but not even the enternet is infinite. With apologies, here is the same view compressed to 62 kb. Yours as posted is about 96.6 kbs.
I also sharpened the image a tad.

Billy, it appears you have a considerable span on the sheet metal, so I'm figurin you don't see a lot of snow accumulation.
In this part of the country, 4 feet of span is pushin your luck on metal roofing.
Do you have serious wind considerations where you are, or don't you have to worry about that either?

well we don't get much snow down here franz except for today. and yes we get lot of wind. i did place em a bit too far apart. but it has already withstood 50mph straight winds into it, i am going to add more perlin to it cause after i finished it i knew i screwed up. may be a tad harder to put under tin but i think i can get it done. all the frame work is made outta 2 3/8 oilfield tubing which is about .190wall
well iot looks good from Alabama.so i'mnot saying nothing except good job!!! :) maybe one day ill place a few here myself!!

Hey rodburner, you mentioned garage doors don't know where Merkel is but if your close to the red river you might drive up to Madill OK a place called J&I Manufacturing I bought a 8'x10" ($289) and a 10x10 ($309) for my shop this past weekend. BTW they are roll-up doors. Nice lookin work shop.

thanks Alden, been pondering on which type doors i wanted, never hung garage doors before but am leaning towards roll up type, and i'm about 3hr drive just to the red river. I have access to a metal building facility bout an hr away and they have a 10'x8' roll up for 236, haven't checked it out to see if its worth that yet, but thanks for the info, will keep it in mind.
