I am a beginner and am trying to make a work bench to make life better for my welding projects. I am seeming to have prolems with the metal from warping. I am using .125 2 inch square tubing and can not seem to get the table to be level. I am planning to put wheels on it and really need it to be flat.
Any ideas on how I can reduce the warping?
Thanks
David

Too much weld bead in any one place will cause warping. In addition, you should tack everything together and get it flat the way you want it before finishing the job.

Clamps, david, clamps. C clamps, vice grips. You can use short pieces of heavy angle or pieces of cut-off box or even plate to clamp things together and keep it sqaure, stand on it if you have to but you have to clamp this stuff down, tack then weld.
