Hey everyone. Just found the site figure I would register and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge that is available. Im a pipefitter trying to become a full time welder for my company. I don't have a whole lot of experience welding being that only the certified welders are allowed to do any of the welding (thats about to change hopefully) I personally just bought a Miller Dialarc 250 for the garage to practice with and I plan on getting a Weldcraft WP-17 tig torch, and shielding gas bottle to set-up my machine for tig as well as stick.

The type of welding I will have to be doing is stick carbon steel for all around maintenence welding (structural steel, back welds on screwed fittings, etc), stick carbon steel pipe welding that has to pass x-ray. And the TIG process pipewelding on Carbon steel, Nickel, Inconel, and occaisionally stainless steel all have to pass x-ray.

Cheers, Steve

Nice that you picked up on the SR20 part of my name. Its the same screen name I have been using for every forum I go on. My first two cars were SE-R's (bought the same car twice I liked it so much) SR20DE powered, so I always used the name SR20steve. I don't even drive a SE-R anymore now I have a WRX STi so maybe I should change it to EJ257 steve, lol:p

I also ordered my WP-17 kit from cyberweld this weekend, just need to get a bottle and a regulator.
