Hi Robert Nice job on the trailer. There is an old Lincoln like that where I work at except it is just AC. I also found one at a garage sale this last summer like that except it was only AC. That was the only thing that kept me from buying it as i already have an old AC Forney that does a good job. I used it quite a bit when I built a similar trailer this last summer.

Robert, I sure do hope you came by that Red paint right cause red is the most expensive color there is.
You are really takin a chance balancin a trailer on it's side like that, if you're gonna build trailers you need a rotissery or a forklift.
I'd swing by and borrow that EZ Go, but I ain't got space for it so I could hide it under a roof.
That NY plate's spose to have a little red sticker this year.

Nice Job! I like taking a pile of junk and making something really nice with it, like you did with that trailer. You'll get years of good use with it. I like your old welder to. Thanks for sharing your skills with me(us).

Am I the only one who has all the posts wider than my screen? I ever had this problem at the other site. After they widened theirs, it was perfect. This one is always about two inches wider than my screen, which is a significant amount of text to have to scroll sideways for every line of every post. Usually I center the post, and sacrifice everone's name and avatar, which is a little distracting, considering we like to read a post with the experience of the individual posting in our minds (like Franz or Dan.) Is anyone else having this problem on this board?

The screen goes wide when someone posts a picture.
Welcome over here with us refugees:cool2:

It's all of them, even threads with no pics. I remember the last board we were on went wide with pictures, but was normal otherwise. I don't mean to hijack this thread, sorry.

I'm not a computer whiz. It's a miracle that I figuired how to do photos. But when I go to a post with no photo's everything is centered in the screen. You probably have to ask chuck, and change some setting on your computer.

Okay Robert.........How can you paint when the temperature is only 37 deg's? Did the paint ever dry?

Mac,

I have some problem with that too & I prefer being able to read threads at about 1/2 screen width. However, like Jim says, it only gets bad when someone posts huge photos. So I wonder if its your monitor resolution. For reference, mine does pretty well at 1024 x 768. You might try that or something higher than whatever you have now. And 'scuse me if you've already tried all that.

RobertD,

First of all, you camera takes beautiful pictures & we all enjoy seeing them. I am not refering to the physical size of your pictures at all - it is the file size which is expressed in kilobytes & is also the amount of disk space that it takes to store them. It took me a good while to figure out how to compress pictures myself & I don't recall if adobe had the function or not - haven't ever used any adobe programs except a free one several years ago. I use Iview to do that sort of thing because it is a very compact and fast little freeware program. In fact I will post a copy of the picture of your trailer lying on its side below. All I had to do to compress it was to save it using Iview. I can adust the amount of compression for each picture or leave it at 50% & it will use that for the default until I change it. What you can do to see what I mean is this: look at your photo as posted below. right click on it and click properties. The size should about 48kb even though it is still 640 by 480 pixel size, or physical size. Find your picture as you posted it and right click on it, click properties and you see that it is 142kb. That is what file compression means.
The size of your photos is within the parameters chuck has asked us to use (153kb max) but the smaller the size in kb the faster they load for the guys limited to slow connections and the more photos can be stored on the servers. Posting on the internet doesn't require high resolution; our displays just can't make use of it like photographic processess do. Ebay sellers who post several large pictures often unwittingly ruin their auctions by driving away lookers before the pictures even finish loading. I have done enough ebay buying and selling to to come to really appreciate file efficiency.
Hope I made some sense out of it for you. :(

Looks like I will have to show the picture in the next post below this one because the edit function does not include the browse function & chuck won't let me delete and repost this one & I forgot to include the photo in this one. Grrrrrrrrrrr! (Way to go cutter!)

SO see next photo below, please.

Sheesh! Well, if you can afford a T-1 then you can certainly afford a free compression program.

Myself, I will just have to keep wearing this pignose and limping along with my old swbell dsl.
