Theres been some topics about the overall crappyness of the jackson headgear and that you can replace it with huntsman headgear with a little modification. I looked around and found this direct replacement headgear from airgas made by radnor.

Anyone try this as a replacement? just wondering if its an upgrade or a replica of the original jackson garbage.

I gotta do something, I'm going nuts!

The early Jackson head gear wasn't that good, but the later one is ok. I wrap the threads with teflon tape and that helps keep the adjustment knobs from loosening up by themselves so easily. I got not long ago the 'pipeliner' headgear that Jackson offers but I didn't like it at all. I have not tried that Radnor headgear.

I just picked up one of the new HALO X helmets and the headgear does the same thing my old ones do... I have to tighten the hell out of it to keep it from creeping down on me and then Its a pain to flip down. :gunsfirin

I wish I could get miller headgear to fit cause I love the headgear on them

I've never used the Miller hoods. I guess I'm just use to that behavior from the Jackson headgears. The original one had a definite detent for the up position and it stayed up good, but was difficult to flip past that point with a nod of the head no matter how loose it was. I use the newer ones and put up with the creeping down when looking down.
