Flatbed on a

1994 GMC K1500 4X4. It has a 6' bed so I intend to build one. Has anyone seen this truck with a 6' FB? Or does anyone have pics or a link? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have everything on a trailer currently. Just planning ahead if I get busy enough to just move everything to the truck.

It has a GM 10 bolt rearend also. Would this handle the consant abuse of say 1000 - 1500 lbs.? Again any thoughts or opinions would greatly be appreciated.

Well you are pushing it. Try to get the heavy stuff up front as far as you can in order to load the front axle.

Officially look on the door for the GVWR, weigh the truck, and whatever you have left over is the safe load.

That is provided you distribute it properly.

Thanks Joe for the advice. I was concerned I may be pushing it if I were to do this. I assume I'd be further ahead to find at least a 3/4 ton or 1 ton. When the time comes to haul this stuff daily.
