Back with another sculpture to share. This one is going to Hunington Beach CA to a home depot. The other sculpture is on hold so we got a jump start on this one. Any questions are welcome and the thread will be updated as we progress.
Enjoy

I hate that I am not creative. I can build stuff like that but I could never think of something so cool to build. I am so envious of creative people.
Rock on. That is way cool. Very neat. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Nails will go through the base for engineering. It makes the whole thing a lot stronger.

The stem will be crooked and the clock face will be flat. The clock face is warped because it is just a peace of paper because we tried some different designs. We were going to ca the clock "Screw Time" but we figure Home Depot might not like that. I did though:drinkup:

Well, dadgumit!!! I was hoping it would go here in GA where Home Depot started. You need to mention it to them...They need TWO!!!
Who get's the model when it's done??? That would make a nice desk dohicky.
Or, you could deliver that one to the home depot in CA and say they put in " everwhere they were supposed to put in '....ala Spinal Tap and Stonehenge...

Different size pipes are cut up and used. It would be hard to bend that tight of radius. The pipe alows us to use a material with some thickness so it is stronger.
A little more progress on nail heads. Hopfully we will have a duplex nail made by tomorrow.

awesome grinding, do you use a grinding wheel, then flapdiscs?
First I grind them with the big grinder flat then a flex wheel for the corners. Thats as far as I got on the nail heads. Some times I go back with a flaper disc or sanding disk. Here is the beginig of grinding some more.
