I do not have one of these units but I can give you some generic MIG advice:
1)Have you read the manual? Is the tension on the drive rollers set correctly?
2)Is the lead to the gun all twisted up? is it wrapped around something?
this can cause it to feed unreliably.
3)Is the contact tip all worn out? Is the hole worn from trying to salvage a tip
that was all boogered up? If it is new, is it the correct size for your wire?
4)you said it wouldnt run a continuous bead, have you tried feeding wire without welding? Is it still feeding funny? if not the ground may be your problem, the ground clamp should be on clean, bare metal and as close as possible. If not that can lead to an inconsistent arc.
5) If it is still feeding funny, make sure the spool can rotate freely in the machine.

Clean the inlet and outlet guides at the feed rolls. Clean your feed rolls. Replace the liner in the gun (about $18)part numbers

Make sure the wire is not rusty and the spool holder is turning smoothly.:cool2:
