what is up with my ta185?

was tigging ms, shut machine down to switch over to stick . struck an arc wiith 6010, had almost nothing. machine said 5 amps/ tried to roll it upto around 85, it registered 0. shut it down, on the way it said e99. book said it was some type of inlet power problem. breakers seemed ok, went back, turned it back on, ran fine..any similar experiences?

E99 always comes on when you shut it down. Musta been on remote. when you turned it on, it went to local because it was on stick.

can you explain the two switches in the upper right corner? it seems to weld stick if them is off one of them is on, i dont remember which, sorry..--yesterday first wouldnt let me set amps, then all of a sudden it was ok.it seemed it welded stick with both in the same position, i dont recall.

Remote and Local. One is for the arc start switch and one is for the amp setting control.

You CAN stick weld with a foot pedal on that machine.
