Its not the hoses! That is a cone crusher for stone. They were trying to burn out a piece of steel that had the cone wedged. The cone finally relieved itself hydraulicly and thats what you get.

The reason is the cone is basically mounted on a power up power down hydraulic cylinder. Most times you can simply lower the cone(after the drive belts have burnt off) and the piece will fall out. Not in this case though!

No sir I don't know where this happened. But I've done the same thing in a crusher about half this size. Fortunately this didn't happen. The piece that was stuck was about 2.5'' in diameter and I'll guess 9-10'' long(clevis pin from dragline).

Watch the slow mo part. You'll see a yellow glob fly by thats what was getting cut on.
