Here are some pictures of my new Everlast Super200P welder. Looks like I can only upload 5 pictures. Will add more later.

Pic1: The box shows it was opened and checked (by all the tape on the top).

Pic2: Shows that the inside box was not opened, but that was all good other than argon gauge was not in there. But I have one coming per Alex.

Pic 3: The box that had all the torches and foot pedal.

Pic 4: Box unpacked.

I could only upload 5 pictures to start, I killed one of my picks/pictures to show the front of the unit and now it is only 4 pictures I can upload.

EDIT: pictures can not be over 150K so that is the problem. I will scale them down and upload more.

Are you fascinated by chinese cardboard?

Showing the packaging of the unit. And the actual unit and parts. Shape it was in etc.

And I thought I mentioned I could not upload all the pictures as they were over 150K, and it being around midnight, figure it could way until tonight :)

FYI, it was very thick cardboard.

There is a very good chance that that was American cardboard shipped over to China and relabeled chinese cardboard. It is good to see it again.

OK, cropped a few more pictures so I can upload here. Less cardboard this time.

Some of the Super200P on my table I made for it. Told you it was yellow..

First couple plasma cuts, the left is stainless and the right is aluminum (1/8"). It cut both with ease, I just need to learn a little more about how much power to cut with. Kids were drawing on the stainless.

Then the 1/2" iron rod . All the blobs on the iron turned out to be I had the air set at 45 psi not 65 psi . I will put the glasses on next time I set it or a mark on it.. I used the compressor for other things.

Will upload more later, probably this weekend when I have time.

Mike:

Great to see you got your Super 200P and that it works as you expected. Hope Alex gets you the Argon regulator soon so you can check out the TIG functions. I am still waitinfor delivery of my EV-200ACDC unit. Promised for tomorrow but since I don't even have a DHL tracking number yet that is doubtful. Would hate to go to the other guy for the LW-200ACDC which seems to be the same unit. I would consider Alex upgrading my EV-200ACDC to a Super 200P a reasonable thing to do at this point. Let us know how it goes and don't worry about 69Chevy, I got similar comments when I posted pictures of my CUT-50D. Take care.

Hey Burt. Hang in there. You are like me, my buddy at work said you are like a kid when it comes to this thing. I told him, it is a new toy..

Not sure why you are having problems. I bought mine on ebay via paypal, had two emails right away, first was a receipt and second was a paypal/DHL shipping number. Went to check it that night and was a little bummed it was going out the next day. But I did order it late in the day and received it in 5 business days and it is heavy. So I was OK with that.

Maybe there is a shipment that is late too him or mods they are making, I know parker metal works had AC/DC/Tigs and were trying to get them tweaked. They said maybe next month. I was in a hurry and went with the everlast.

69Chevy does not bother me, he has an opinion and probably a pro welder, I'm not. And I have a choice on what to buy as well. But I think his point was that (and it was midnight and I could not upload all the pictures) all he saw was cardboard and he is right if you go look. :) BTW, wife like the yellow color, maybe I can get her to use it.

In fact, it will be funny to see how many MMA pros jump in on the contest Alex is having and win a free CUT50. The winner will not be me for sure. But then they can chime in on the quality of it. And if no one jumps in, I will show my nasty stick work (note I did not say skills).

Fixed my plasma issue, it was too low on air PSI (need 65-70),

I will post some more plasma pictures today (MMA for the weekend). But I still think I need more air or a new tip. As I am learning to plasma cut (not hard and boy is it fun), I think I bugger the tip and need to replace it. Also measure the 1/2 rod and it is 5/8 :p

Kids are begging me to go out and let them cut up some metal, it is funny.

Best of luck.

As Alex says, it is on its way. Without more information it is like "the check is in the mail". Hope it is Yellow to match the CUT-50D though. Glad you and the kids are having so much fun with the plasma. My only witnesses are 5 cats and they could care less because I won't let them watch while I am cutting. Found that a pair of Shade 5 "Sunglasses" are perfect for my viewing what is happening but cannot get them on the cats. Need to pick up some consumables but will wait until unit gets here then make a 25 mile one way trip to town. I kinda feel bad for Alex because of his supply chain problems but about out of patience. Take care and keep me/us posted.

Had some time tonight. Cut a little more. Will MMA tomorrow or Saturday. When I get the argon gauge I will try tig.

Note, I can oxy/acet. MIG getting better. I have never had a TIG, but I played with one and did OK. And never done stick or plasma. Plasma, seems like you can not mess up too bad though.

I did some cuts do you can see how it cuts and the kids drew on the metal. The pipe was galanized (sp) so I made them stop. But here is tonights Super200P fun. We can only get better at it I hope :)

Pic1: size of it
Pic2:still think I need more PSI (but this is trash)
Pic3: Bunch of them (it is a big heavy rod my wife wants out of the yard, I will trash a couple pieces a week in the trash can)
Pic4: Closeup of the aluminum 1/8" That cuts fast and I did not breath the smoke.

Now the stainless and the kids work..

Pic1: fence post designs my my 12 year old
Pic2: stainless design by my oldest (ask him how that R worked out for him)
Pic 3/4 to show closer look at the stainless cut. I bent it so you can see the real think one was really cut all the way.

I will attempt to stick weld the SS back. Please note, the machine is probably fine, the operator is gonna most likely be the problem. Wish my brother-in-law was still down on vacation. 30+ years in a factory, can weld with anything.

Mike:

Freehand is tough for sure. I have found that if I use a .125 thick piece of hardboard I can make a pattern or just cut a straight edge. This eliminates one variable and lets you concentrate on moving at the proper rate. I have not had much luck cutting either square or round bar stock that is .75 diameter or so. Just use the bandsaw for that. Most of the cuts so far have been in .250 SS and 14ga mild steel. Keep practicing and can only get better, right? Take care.

I saw all the practice practice practice on the forum. Now I am just getting it all figured out as I am new to this and playing. The manual is more like technical info, but not how to be a welder. haha. They have a new manual coming, but I think I will have it all figure out by then. Now far as the talent to weld, that will take years.

And the round solid stuff take a little time for sure.

The bandsaw here needs a new blade and I have one, time to get off my but and change it. Stainless is tough on them. But you are right, I will use the bandsaw then tack it with the welder.

What is your trade? Sounds like you have some tools.

Mike:

Well, I am a retired Mechanical Engineer who spent all his time working in the Packaging (cooling, shock and vibration) arena of the Commercial / Military / AeroSpace world. Things from 32bit Super Mini-Computers to Shuttle Orbiter Display Panels. Took a welding class way back in college and wanted to get back to it and other machine operations so I have a Vertical Mill and 10 x 22 Lathe on order from Grizzly but Mill won't get here from China until September or October from what I hear. Plenty of time to practice my cutting and welding - hobby level expectations only. Have a 4 x 6 HF Bandsaw that does yoeman duty for most cutting of stuff I don't want to use the Plasma for. Well enough about me, keep at it and maybe we can both get better over time and put these tools to work. Take care.

Jeff,

If you look, this post is over 2 years old you are responding too. Also, the 5 posts you have made on weldingweb are all negative posts about Everlast products.

Your account was opened here a couple days ago as well.

This all seems a little fishy to me... If you have a problem with an Everlast unit, or your "friend", you guys are welcome to contact Everlast Tech support for help at any time and get it resolved.

Since Mr. Trent was nice enough to revive this old thread, I might as well bump it again with some on-topic material.

My Super200P, pictured below is now 3 years old, and has been rock-solid reliable. Here is a project write-up I just posted in another thread, which I completed using my Everlast welder:
http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=44704

Furthermore, the team at Everlast has without a doubt, surpassed my expectations when it comes to post-sales support and help, now throughout the entire, completed duration of my welder's warranty period. They absolutely bend over backwards to help their customers. Thanks team Everlast!

Thanks Alex, Mike, Mark, and nice lady who picks up the phone at sales (name escaping me at the moment.) :waving:

Jakeru, Thanks for the comments.

This person make it clear he does not own our products (a "friend" has one), I seriously doubt his friend owns one either, not sure why the friend's not posting or calling us?.

Could be someone selling generic imported welders attempting to make our company look bad. Wouldn't the first time, but it has been sometime. Could be someone just plain bored. No telling.

Either way, common sense would be call us if you have a problem. We do have a toll-free number, and I doubt his unit would be out of warranty. If it's out of warranty, we would always offer an upgrade (for a fee), repair (for a fee) or help (no charge).

Also, the nice lady would be Katya, who keeps us all in-line.

i've welded everything from cast aluminum to titanium. all i have to do is flip the AC/DC switch. can't beat it.
