Went to put the cart that came with the welder together and it was missing the hardware kit. Nothing in stock so I got a refund. I am now considering the Hobart Handler 187. Probably pick one up next week. Will wire a receptacle to the house and get an extension to run it.
Any thoughts on the Hobart, good or bad.

The Miller came with the cart and cost $725 CDN, the Hobart has no cart and will be $629. For the $100 I will buy a 50 foot extension to run from the house to the garage. Will build a cart later on.

My dryer has 4 prongs on the plug and I think the welder only has 3.

No problem.
Just make an adapter cable

Or just wire a 6-50R in the garage.

I will put in a separate circuit for it. Either way I still have to run an extension as there is no way to get 220V to the garage otherwise.
