cut 60 upgrade

I would like to know if anyone has put a bigger torch on a cut 50 or a cut 60 and if so did it or would it help in cutting thicker metal cleaner? I have seen torches that are rated at 80 and 100 amp and look like they will hook up to a cut 60 , you would think the bigger rating torches would last longer as far as tips go.Maybe someone has an answer to this :help:

Well I had purchased a CUT50D ($410) and it came with the 60D torch yet no matter what I did I couldn't get it to cut beyond 1/2". So I contacted Everlast to let them know. Lucky for me Everlast understood my needs and recommended upgrading to the new CUT80.

Of course that was a month ago and I am still without my $410 or a plasma cutter while Everlast gets the new units. Sure hope this CUT80 is worth it.

I assure you Everlast will deliver, but it will be couple weeks or less. Do you still have you first unit Cut50D or did you send it back?

I've done 5/8" on the Cut50D. Pretty sure I can get 3/4" out of it as well. Not sure about 1", it would be to slow for me.

The new units are coming. As I am in support, I am sort of antsy as well, being an all new design and I have some things in the shipment for me :). So I can relate.

New units include the Everlast Cut70D, Cut80D and 3 phase Cut100D.

Yep I sent it back using the faxed dhl return shipping label you faxed me on 8/28/08.

Using the dhl tracking number on the label it shows your receiving dept already received the unit.

I am not in the Ca office. You said you were out money, I figured you would use the unit until the new model was in. Either way it will be made right, it is just a timing issue.

we got your unit back . New shipment will be in stock in 10 days or so ..

if you want to upgrade to CUT80 , i can tell you correct price only when i get the cutters in.

The unit was returned per instructions of the lady at Everlast 1 650 588 8588 ext 201.

On 28 AUG 08 she told me that the faulty unit had to be returned before a new unit could be sent. She told me I would receive a faxed prepaid DHL shipping label with a DHL toll free phone number to call for the pickup. The fax was received that same day and the unit picked up and as been delivered to Everlast per her instructions.
