Hi
I am into hard-core off-road expeditions with my lovely wife and Jeep club. Welding is an essential skill that is much needed for my off-road hobby. I have recently acquired a Lincoln 175HD MIG and an ancient Craftsman 230/180 amp AC/DC welder. I have been fooling around practicing welding on various junk. I can't wait to get proficent enogh to weld on my rig or build a serious off road trailer. I plan on taking a class at my local community collage for some formal training. I hope to tap into the plethora of wisdom from the journeyman welders on this board. :blob2:

Welcome:
In my most polite tone......if your pics are larger than 800 wide, both the photo and text get clipped. For example, in you post, we can't see anything to the right of "Location: New Jersey (y". And since there's no 'scroll bar', we can't look for it. :waving:

Welcome Billdacat. Does that make your lovely wife's name 'Kittycat'?:D

Here's a post that will walk you through the whole photo uploading thing. http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=111 If you have any problems just ask and keep the photos coming.

Sorry about the large picture.... I found a feature in Photobucket that allowed me to adjust the size without re-linking the post.
This is a pic of some short welds on 3/16" steel with some 7018 and 6013 rod. I don't think there is anything in the pictures that warrant judging just yet. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u239/mudheads/technical/S4300178.jpg

Thanks for the resize. :)

Anything off-road is good. I've been 'doin' dirt' in one way or another since 1969. :D
