Did anyone else get a weird E-mail from Longevity? The subject line was "dd" and the message was "ff". That was it!

Mac,

The email was a testing email for our newsletter. I am sorry for the troubles.

No worries, I was just trying to guess if it was an error or something. Only happened the one time.

I do not want to receive any emails from any of chinese made welder companies. I will never buy any of your junk.

Crawler,
By the tone of this post, it sounds as if you have received an unwanted e-mail. If so, there should be, and most likely is, a link that you can click on to stop any further e-mails from being sent to you.

So, did you receive an unwanted e-mail????

I did not receive any unwanted email from them. I want to make sure it stays that way.
I hope this web site is not giving out or selling our email addresses.

Crawler,
You have then directed your concerns to the wrong people. You should be contacting the admin./mods. Plus with the tone and then the bash in your last sentance, "I will never buy any of your junk." your concerns about the unwanted e-mail, which you never received, are masked with alterior motives, such as "I hate foreign made products, PERIOD."

I thought initially that maybe you had received an unwanted e-mail having never signed up for a newsletter or any other contact. However that is not the case.

I can full well understand your concerns about unwanted e-mails and the possible giving out or selling of addresses. If you truly are concerned about this, you should contact the admin. since there has been an explanation given as to the original question.

I don't have problems with foreign made products at all. We own Toyota vehicles and own many quality foreign made products. I can't say the same about the chinese made welders or plasma cutters since I'd classify them in the junk category.

Crawler,
Thank you for helping make my point. You responded to a thread concerning an e-mail that YOU DID NOT even receive so that you would have an avenue to interject your dislike for Chinese welders, Good show!!!

Crawler,

You made no point here. I have reported your post to WW. Longevity does not welcome flaming on our forums from members who have no experiences with our company. Our forum is designed to promote product and help customers. Your post is heading in the wrong direction as this is not a political forum.

Your other posts will be deleted if you continue your flaming.

Longevty that logo can be fixed by making it 600dpi in photoshop.

Everyone in the world has a right to do business. When the first Toyotas came to the USA psople did not like it but look around you now.

Hi Donald,

Thank you for the positive comment. We have a right to do business as any other importing company and the Americans we employ are thankful they have jobs during this economy. Our true customers are thankful we offer quality welding equipment and exceptional customer service for very very reasonable prices.

As for the logo, I am a novice with photoshop. I will give it a try though. I agree it looks very poor.

Thanks,

Simon

I don't need this "avenue" to show my disdain for chinese welders. There are plenty of other places that people do and have chosen to express their frustration with these vendors. The difference is, the posts are not edited or deleted.

What I object the most is the censorship that is going on when a users complains about their experiences with the various vendors of imported welders/plasma cutters. It would have been better to take care of the customer instead of letting the issues escalate because the customer did not get a resolution.

I have nothing against foreign made product. However, I will choose to buy American made products provided that they're better made, reliable, available, and provide value during the time of ownership. I do hope these imported welders/plasma cutters become more reliable i the future. At that time, I may consider purchasing one if the need arises.

What is reporting my post going to result in? Kicking me off of WW. I really don't care since this website has lost objectivity since it is now "owned" by the vendors of the imported welders.

Then why do you keep posting here concerning this??? I don't get it, you say do not need the avenue, but apparently you do or you would post this in the off topic section. Maybe you keep at it because your posts have not been edited or deleted.

"What is reporting my post going to result in?"

Not sure as I did not report it, but I am curious to see.

Now how many posts does this make in a thread about an e-mail that you DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE??? WHA WHA WHAAAA.

Ok... thread closed.

Crawler once again, you have made no other point here and are just wasting time mouthing off concerns that you have no experience with. This is not a High School - where i want to penalize people like you for not following our forum rules, hijacking threads, etc... I dont mind you wasting your time, but do not come on here wasting mine or anyone's for that matter.

Your post will be deleted from now on because you are not hearing our warnings. If you dont like it, maybe you can consider forum rules for once and then you will realize why your posts are being removed instead of complaining about it.

Good day,

Simon
