I tried to start a new thread in the Project forum but when I attempted to attach pics (.jpg) I was unsuccessful. The pics were <150kb. The dialog box said 'wait - uploading files' but eventually timed out - seemed to have lost the commection.
The steps I followed:
1. Logged in
2. Went to Project forum
3. Start new thread
4. Typed message
5. Clicked on "Manage Attachments'
6. In new attachment window ' Browse'
7. Selected .jpg file <150kb
8 . Window showed 'Uploading File(s) - Please Wait
9 WIndow timed ou

I have had that problem before when the Jpeg file was too large.
Its best to keep the file size smaller as it will send faster especially if you plan to upload more than one picture.

Can you normally work in pop-up windows?
Any chance you have a pop-up or scam blocker running?
Photo's file extension correct IE: ".jpg" ?
Image size not over height (600) or width (800) limits?
Good Luck

Can you normally work in pop-up windows? YES. In this case the pop-up window appeared to be working with the pop-up blocker ON. I'll try with it off.

Image size: width - 515, height 386, size 46kb
I tried in this reply (with pop-up blocker off)
1. Manage Attachments (window opened as usual)
2. Browse
3. Selected file <50kb
4. Clicked Upload
5. Window dialog - Uploading File(s) Please Wait
6. Timed out

Is your system using a slow phone line? For a picture that small, my system with DSL would load it 'immediately', in less than a few seconds.

Hi everyone - I wanted to let you know that we've been looking under the hood here at WeldingWeb and reading the string about the posting images issue.
Unfortunately, this appears to be a connection or firewall issue specific to a user's system. The fact the system is timing out indicates is choking on trying to get the file uploaded. Again, without being able to access the computer that is trying to upload, it's difficult to deteremine if this is a connnection speed issue or firewall.
I'm still digging around to see if I can come up with optimal network speeds or if there are browser or network settings to look into.

I'm connect via Comcast broadband - a relatively fast network.

I've also be able to upload pictures to similar if not identical forums interfaces (see Sportfisherman.com). It can't be my connection and I don't see how my firewall would prevent outgoing files. Still, I'd appreciate any addtitional thoughts.

I found the problem and fixed it. Feel free to view my post in Projects section!
