I figured I would start a new thread, as I have a bunch of questions........

I've read here in this forum that there is a "New" 250P model out, but I have yet to find anything out about it..... As far as specs and pictures. Is this just a hopped-up 200P model?

What new machines are going to become available in the very near future? Are these machines going to be 240V single phase machines, or are they going to be 3 phase machines?

Plasma's.....TIG Machines...... Combo Units??

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Bret,

I will share what I know and can tell at this point.

The Everlast Super250P and the Super 200P are a newer model. They have upgrades to the hardware inside, so it still looks the same.

The Everlast Super250P is maxed out on the welder side (MMA/TIG) for single a phase 220volt unit. But it has plenty of power. The one I tested was very nice. It will weld over 1/2" and will cut 1" steel.

The new Super models have a pilot arc for the plasma cutter and a new plasma torch (see www.everlastwelders.com/manuals for the new torch manual). The torch is nice, but people must make sure the air is turned on and you are in plasma mode with this torch before pulling the trigger (250AMP to the plasma torch is not a good thing).

Also, on the cutter side it's a 55AMP cutter. Not sure why it's not a Super255P.

Everlast has added higher end welders to it's lineup, we have new IGBT units and are planning a smaller 3-phase welder.

I think in December we will see many more options.

Ahhh..... I figured the 200P was a 200 AMP machine and the 250P was a 250 amp machine. Are the duty cycles the same on both machines?

Alex needs to get out here and let us know what the "Christmas" offerings are going to be. We may need to stash some greenbacks and cut down on the inlaw's Christmas this year! :jester:
