Cord Length on Plasma Cutter 40D?

What is the approximate length of the power cord on a 40D? If it is too short for my need, can I replace the cord with a longer one?

I don't have the 40D but on the two Longevity units I do have the power cord is around 3 feet long. Rather than replacing the cable, I made an extension cable. You will want to use at least 10 gauge stranded wire. (10/3 with for 220 use)
