I have a new attitiude towards the show, If an IDIOT using tools incorrectly can create decent work. Intelligent people like ourselves ; using the correct tool, in the correct manner can BLOW them away!

That's Great. Good Looking work.
Would that be considered art or do you just have to much time and spare parts on your hands.

I've noticed more and more, most of what OCC does is MANAGE the building of the bike and the ordering and outsourcing of parts and labour. The doesn't seem all that interesting, it seems that anyone that can manage projects can do that. They do sell some good bikes though, the end products are nice...

Its that I finally have the time, now that I'm retired! To me, its art. i bought the wheels and the forks, used 1x2 rectangular for the framewor, and (free) smashed up truck fenders for the flames...of which there are 20 or 30. Can't afford a Harley anymore, but I've had a few, and used to drag race one. If I ever hit the big one, I no doubt will ride again. In my dreams I would sell this piece for enough to get a used 110v. Plasma Cutter.

OCC are bike designers. They spec out the components and manage the project, but they also come up with the concept and how to implement it. That doesn't require a whole lot of welding and fab expertise, just enough to know if something can be done or not. At designing, I think they're great. As human beings, they are totally dysfunctional, albeit hilarious.
I get more of an education from Monster House and Monster Garage.
The big thing is that THEY DID IT and we didn't... :blob2:
