Wire size? Sub panel?

I have 200 Amp service in my house. I would like to add some outlets in my attached garage which is about 45 feet from my main panel. I am going to hire a professional to do the work, however I would like to what to tell him I want. I would like a 110v outlet for a Hobart H140 and a 220v outlet for whatever may come later.

I was hoping someone or all would be so kind as to tell me what I may want for wire and whether or not I should put a subpanel in? What would you do? and why?

I'm a hobbyist but I may soon be spending a lot of time with my hobbies.

go with a sub panel it will be easy to add as you get more tools and save money inthe long run.
