I'm planning my next truck bed build. I've gotten a few new ideas from the other thread "Show me your rig..". Does anyone know where to buy the fuel filler gas cap hole thing? Any one have a link? Much appreciated.

I have found them in salvage yards or as some people call them junk yards. You might have to cut them off from a gas tank yourself. Use a hacksaw, not a torch or it will go boom.

If you're taking the factory bed off a pickup, use the one it came with. All it takes is some extra hose the same diameter and a longer piece of small hose for the vent tube.

Are you talking about the plate that the fuel filler screws to or the actual fuel filler?

When we put a flatbed on my dad's truck we used the factory fuel filler and then we wanted the fuel filler on top of the bed (most people hang the fuel filler below the bed and it's annoying to fill) so we made our own plate that we could pass the fuel filler through and just ran self-tapping screws to secure the filler to the plate.

Actually, I was talking about the outside trim piece like the one in this picture. I have always made the filler up through the flat bed, but my next one will be skirted, and I like the look of this one. I could make one, but surely, someone is selling these on the 'net?
