Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new welder, I layed down my first puddle last night actually. I got my welder primarily to work on my project car which is a '67 Dodge Dart GT. My welder is a Lincoln pro-mig 175 and i've put a 60 cuft cylinder of argon/co2 mix on it.

I have a bunch to learn but eventually I'd like to weld up a roll cage. I'm starting to practice weld on a door I have left over from a previously owned '65 Plymouth Valiant (yep I'm a mopar guy!). Here is a picture of a hole I filled in with weld (after many attempts..some without any shielding gas flow  ).

Thank god I have this door to practice on!

Anyways it's great to be here, hope to learn a lot from everyone.

Dave

I'm new to this forum also, with very minimal welding experience. I attend Nashville Auto Diesel College and I'm actually in my Welding Phase now. I passed my Steel phase today with a 98 (Honors) and start Aluminum tomorrow, including alot of TIG welding. I'm 25, for reference.

My welding knowledge will eventually be put into play with classic/muscle car fabrication and restoration. I am really enjoying welding class so much that I plan on buying a Lincoln SP135+ soon, which is the same unit we use in our individual booths at NADC.

I also own a Mopar. It's a white, all original 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 with the 318 Poly. :)
