This forum has a problem that I've seen on many others using the same BB software....

The installation-default of the software is set to reject any search-term that the software-authors thought was "too short". Apparently they must not actually -use- their own BB software.... :D

This search-term restriction always shows up as a big problem with model-numbers.

For example, say I try to do a search for " Millermatic 35 "...

The forum returns 500 hits!

whups....what it's really doing is returning EVERY post with "millermatic" in it.....of ANY model-number version....because it rejected the "35" search-term as being "too short".

Mods/Admin, could you PLEASE disable that?

thanks!

Sorry, its above my pay scale. Besides I don't have a clue how to fix that.

I do understand your point.

dozer google it "millermatic 35 / weldingweb" in the search box, and see if that helps, and it will, usually that is how I look for specific things when I'm searching

hope this helps

mike.

I really AM LOL here.
Just tried that and this thread don't come up.

The appropriate fix would be with the BB software itself.

When you do the search in Google, at the bottom of the first page you will see this:

repeat the search with the omitted results included.

click it - this page and everything else you are looking for will be displayed.

hey Mike, thanks much for the tip for using google....I'll give that a try.

and TSOR....thanks for the mention of the "results omitted" thing.

I do hope the admin here will reset the software to allow any search-term though.....because the mucking around with google shouldn't be necessary.

HA, every individual post comes back as a result of the search.

The appropriate fix would be with the BB software itself.
