advice for estimating consumables costs?

Hey guys, I'm a newbie a quoting bids for large or continuous jobs. Are there any tips, resources, etc. for estimating consumables? I'm doing a job I won involving buku miging. I'm flying thru wire and shield gas, and power. Are there any established charts or info resources for use in estimating these?

Ok, based on 0 replies to my previous post, I assume there are no established sources.

Do any of y'all experienced Gurus have "rules-of-thumb" you use when allowing for consumables when estimating a bid? Also, the first few jobs I bid, I failed to consider time spent planning, designing, travel, etc., resulting in much smaller averaged hourly rate. when compiling a bid is this type of time figured at a lesser rate than the actual weld/fab hours. What is the standard practice?
