Anybody have any suggestions as to a good couple of books to keep in the garage concerning math and layout? I am just starting to get into doing more things on my own around the home and for other people as well. Basically just looking for books that would maybe have some pretty detail of formulas and their uses in the field concerning layout. Also if you may have a book that you would think could help me out, I could take it off your hands( for an agreed upon price, of course.) Thanks .

pocket ref 3rd edition by thomas glover has LOTS of info on darn near anything....
I got mine from MSC, but I have seen them in everywhere. seems like it was under $15

Pipefitters Handbook Third Edition by Forrest R. Lindsey
The Pipefitters Blue Book by W.V. Graves
The Pipe Fitter's and Pipe Welder's Handbook by Thomas W. Frankland

4421 Frank - Many suppliers have hand-outs of application data for their products.
Most of these hand-outs are loaded with helpful tables specs and formulas.

It just makes sense to keep the small books, holding the most important concise data, in the "First Aid" kit. :laugh:

The book is packed with real-world and practical application examples of advanced shop math.

Pocket ref... the best little book for the money. I also have the desk ref.
