Hey all :waving:...Been lurking for a bit just to see what's around on this site. My name is Lucas. This site seems pretty helpful from what I've seen. I've messed around with Tig (steel and aluminum) at my old job about 3-4 years ago and I could lay a bead down but it looked bad.:( Quit that job and did the college route for 2 years before I decided to stop wasting my time! I've been in a welding school the last year. 3G and 4G certs in Mig and Stick and looking to getting the Fluxcore ones too before I get into pipe. I know most jobs require a test before they hire weather it's on site or at an independent place but I'm mainly getting them for my company and personal use in my racing.

Lucas, welcome to the forum. Where abouts in Florida, it's a pretty big state. You can add your home town in your profile. What type of racing are you involved in, where do you run?

Hi Ya DymondBoy2f and Wellcome to the Welding Web Family. Best of luck at welding school. If you want to gget into race welding it would be best to stop some of the tracks and ask what the cert requirements are.
