Hello everybody. :waving:

I am not new to the concept of welding, but i am new to this forum. It's my goal to apprentice as a welder soon and this I hope will turn into a wonderful career.

One quick question: Anybody here weld or have welded aerospace alloys?

Welcome to the forum. I personally have never welded anything aerospace related, but i do have a friend that is shop foreman for a business that has done some welding for nasa in the past. I went over and looked at some of the stuff. It was just T-6 AL They were using a tig machine. and the welds had to be x-rayed when completed. Never did know what the parts were for. again welcome to the forum. ~Jackson

Many of the aerospace alloys are used also in nice bicycles. Titanium, 6xxx and 7xxx aluminum are becomming more common in everyday stuff. If you are interested in these alloys, you might search on bicycle welding and see what you find.
